Sam Kristofferson

In the spring of 2023, I graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Journalism and a Minor in Leadership Studies.

My multimedia expertise is expansive in photography, audio production, videography, and design.

In December of 2023, I began working as the Editor-in-Chief for Bellingham’s newest online publication “My Bellingham Now” (owned and operated by KGMI/Cascade Radio Group). With a robust team of writers and news radio producers, we strive to make regional news stories accurate and accessible to everyone. What makes this news outlet special? IT’S FREE!

Originally from Ventura County, CA, my passion for the outdoors was born by hiking through the Sierra Nevada Mountains, surfing along the Pacific Coast Highway, and photographing friends and strangers alike who shared those spaces with me.

When I am not in the office or creating something with my camera, you can catch me fishing at one of the great Washington lakes or rivers for trout, sharing local coffee/beer with friends, or attempting to cook the world’s most mediocre meal.
